Iberian Chiffchaff Phylloscopus ibericus
Huerta Grande, Andalucia, Spain April 2022 The Iberian Chiffchaff breeds in the Spain, Portugal and Morocco and winters in West Africa. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. Given the difficulty of separating it from Common Chiffchaff P. collybita sightings have been reported over a wider area. |
||||
Visual differences are that the Iberian Chiffchaff has a supercilium which is bright yellow at the front, it lacks any brown hue on the upperparts and the underparts show a cleaner yellow.
