Morocco, Spain and England
The Common Reed-warbler breeds in most of Europe, parts of Central Asia and North Africa near the Mediterranean. It winters in Africa south of the Sahara. See the distribution map at xeno-canto. It breeds in Phragmites reed beds on lakes, ponds, rivers and ditches though on migration it can also be seen in thickets and tall grasses. |

It is now usually regarded as comprising two sub-species though some authorities class the nominate sub-species as monotypic with the English name of European Reed-warbler. | |||
