Spain The Corn Bunting is distributed in much of Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is found in steppe, grasslands and agricultural land with song posts such as trees, telephone wires or fence posts. |

It feeds mainly on grass seeds but also on insects, etc. mainly during the breeding season.
It is a large heavily built bunting. The bill is stout with a straw-pink lower mandible. |
