The Brown-necked Raven is found in desert and dry grassland from the Sahara of Africa through the Sinai Peninsula to the Middle East, Iran and western Pakistan. See the distribution map at Birdlife International.

It feeds on a wide variety of foodstuffs such as insects, snakes, birds eggs, seeds, grain, etc..
