The Orange-flanked Bush Robin breeds from Finland across Asia to Kamchatka and Japan. This northern population of the nominate sub-species winters in south and south-east Asia. The sub-species shown here, L. c. rufilatus, breeds along the Himalayas and into south and central China and in the Himalayas it winters at lower altitudes.
