The Blue-throated Barbet is distributed from north-east Pakistan through the Himalayas to south-east China and south into Myanmar and Thailand.
|It is found in a variety
of forest, woodland and plantation habitats where there are
fruiting trees present.
It is a green barbet with a blue throat and face. The forehead and crown are red and there is a red patch on each side of the breast.
