Mo Chu River, Wangdue Phodrang, Bhutan The Asian Barred Owlet is distributed from north-east Pakistan eastwards along the Himalayas to eastern China and south to the north of Malaysia. |

It is found in open forest
and scrub from the lowlands up to about 2,800 metres. It feeds on insects, lizards, frogs and small birds and hunts mainly during the day. There are recordings on xeno-canto with additional information on Avibase. |
