The Yellow-billed Turaco is distributed in tropical Africa from Sierra Leone in the west to south-west Congo and northern Angola. It is found mainly in primary forest unlike Green Turaco T. persa which prefers secondary forest and edges of cultivation.

Yellow-billed Turaco, Kakum National Park, Ghana, May 2011 - click for larger image It looks very similar to Green Turaco but the bill is mainly yellow and while both have a white line below and behind the eye only the Green Turaco has a white patch in front of the eye.
