Tono Dam, Ghana The Winding Cisticola is distributed in much of tropical Africa where the habitat is suitable. Its preferred habitat is rank grass and sedge in marshes and other wet areas. For a distribution map see Birdlife International. |

It is grey-brown with a streaked back a rufous forehead and rufous edges to
the wing feathers.
Its call is a dry trill reminiscent of an insect. |
