Ethiopia The White-browed Sparrow-weaver is distributed in southern and eastern Africa from southern Ethiopia to South Africa. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is found in dry bush country especially acacia and in wooded savanna. |

It feeds mainly on the ground searching for insects and seeds. Usually in small groups with a dominant pair and the others either defending the territory or helping to feed the brood. The nest is a horizontal cylinder of dry grasses. | |||
