Lake Hora, Ethiopia
January 2016

The Tropical Boubou is distributed throughout much of Africa south of the Sahara. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. Clements and others treat L. aethiopicus as Ethiopian Boubou restricted to the Horn of Africa as a separate species from Tropical Boubou L. major distributed in the rest of the area shown. The principal difference is the length of the white bar on the wing which is longer in L. major.
