Negele to Yabello Road, Ethiopia Shelley's Starling is distributed in the Horn of Africa and south into Kenya and northern Tanzania. Northern populations migrate south in the non-breeding season. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is found in semi-arid bush and woodland up to 2,000 metres. |

It has orange eyes and a dark rufous belly. It feeds mainly on insects.
