Liben Plains, Ethiopia
January 2016

The taxonomy of this lark is confusing as the bird is very little known and so scarce as to be classified as Critically Endangered. Even though it has been recently lumped with Archer's Lark Birdlife International estimate that there are less than 250 individuals left. It is distributed in 3 very small and disjunct areas in Ethiopia. See the distribution map at Birdlife International.
