Lake, Langano, Ethiopia The Grey-backed Fiscal is distributed in the central and eastern parts of Africa south of the Sahara. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. They are found in open woodland and acacia savanna from 500 to 2,250 metres. Members of the shrike family they are often seen in social groups displaying and waving their long tails. They feed on invertebrates and small vertebrates impaling their prey and maintaining caches. |
