It has a long, gently down-curved black bill, a longish neck and medium length black legs. Breeding plumage shows a chestnut-red face and underparts. These photos are of non-breeding plumage where upperparts are grey with dark shafts and pale fringes. there is a long, white supercilium and dark lores. | |||
