Ethiopia The Crested Francolin is distributed in eastern Africa from Ethiopia to the north of South Africa. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is found in bush country and wooded grasslands where it feeds on insects such as termites, seeds and grasses. |

It is a small francolin with a white supercilium and streaking on the upperparts. The male has a spur which is lacking in the female. | |||
