Ghana & Ethiopia

The Common Bulbul is possibly the most commonly seen bird in Africa where it is distributed across most of the continent except the Sahara and the south-west. It is found in almost any habitat except dense forest, treeless desert and grassland without trees.

There are about 10 accepted sub-species some of which have a bright yellow vent. Photos1 to 3 show the sub-species in Ghana is P. b. inornatus.

They eat mainly fruit but are also seen taking nectar from flowers and feeding on insects.
