Ethiopia The Black-winged Lovebird is endemic to Ethiopia and Eritrea where it is found in forest and woodlands in the highlands from 1,800 to 3,400 metres. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It feeds on seeds, berries and fruits. The male, seen here in photos 2 and 3, has a red band on the forehead which is lacking in the female in photo 1. |
