July 2008 The Ringlet is found mainly in damp woodland glades, along hedges and river banks and, as in this occsion, in gardens.
They are usually seen between mid-June and mid-August and are dark brown in general though the colour fades after a while. The underside show clearly the ringlets that give it its name.
