The Yellow-throated Antwren is restricted to a small area where Venezuela, Colombia and Brazil meet. It is found in the canopy of white-sand soil forests where it feeds, usually in pairs, on insects.

It is very similar to Pygmy Antwren M. brachyura but has an all-yellow rather than white throat. | |||
