Wildsumaco Lodge, Ecuador November 2019 The Yellow-bellied Tanager is distributed in the western part of the Amazon Basin. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is found in the forest canopy at altitudes mainly between 100 and 700 metres. |

It is superficially similar to Spotted Tanager T. punctata but this
latter has a white rather than yellow belly.
