Yellow-bellied Dacnis (Dacnis flaviventer)

The Yellow-bellied Dacnis is found in the Amazon Basin, usually in the canopy and often beside rivers. Its behaviour is very like that of the Blue Dacnis.

The male is distinctive with yellow on the belly and a red eye. The head is black with dull green on the crown and nape.
