Sani Lodge, Sucumbios, Ecuador November 2019 The Wire-tailed Manakin is distributed in the western part of the Amazon Basin and into north-west Venezuela. See the distribution map at xeno-canto. It is found in the forest undergrowth normally near water. |

The males, as seen here, are stunning and easily distinguishable. The females are dull olive and pale yellow but have a white iris like the male. |
