| White-bellied Spinetail (Synallaxis propinqua) | ||||
| Marchantaria Island, Amazonas, Brazil July 2001 The White-bellied Spinetail is found only on river islands in the Amazon river system. Here it prefers the early succession growth of cane, low bushes and tangles. |
||||
| It is browny-grey above with rufous wings and tail. The chin is light grey and there is a black patch on the lower throat. The breast is grey becoming white in the centre. It has a proportionately longer bill than most Synallaxis spinetails and a very pointed tail which you should be able to see in the third photo. |
