Napo, Ecuador November 2019 The Western Wood-Pewee breeds in North America but overwinters in the northern and western parts of South America. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. In Ecuador it is found between September and April in forest and clearings up to about 1,700 metres. |

In looks it is very similar to the Eastern Wood-Pewee C. virens but its call is very different. | |||
