Chaparri, Lambayeque, Peru October 2018 The Superciliated Wren is distributed in south-west Ecuador and north-west Peru. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is found in scrub and dry woodland mainly below 1,500 metres. |

It is bright rufous above with a bold white supercilium and face. The nominate form in western Ecuador is mainly whitish below while the sub-species found in north-west Peru, C. s. baroni, is more rufous on the belly as seen here. | |||
