November 2019

The Slender-footed Tyrannulet is distributed in the western part of the Amazon Basin and into adjoining Venezuela. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is found in the canopy and borders of humid forest. Being a canopy bird it is difficult to see normally. The two occasions when I have seen it have been from towers; firstly the INPA Tower near Manaus and now the beautiful tower at the Sani Lodge, Ecuador.
