| San Martin, Peru October 2018 The Silvery Tanager is distributed in the extreme south of Ecuador and in Peru mainly on the east slope of the Andes but also in the dry north-west. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is found both in the borders of humid forest and in semi-arid scrub. |

| These photos are of males. Females are quite distinct being mostly pale green with a coppery wash to the head and a whitish belly. | ||||
