Tinajones Reservoir, Lambayeque, Peru October 2018 The Short-tailed Field-tyrant is distributed near the coast from south-west Ecuador to the extreme north of Chile. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is found in arid country up to 1,200 metres. |

Note the long legs, the short tail and the prominent wing-bars. It forages for insects along the ground and may perch in bushes close to the ground. | ||||
