It has very long, white central tail feathers, a long, slightly decurved bill, reddish upper tail coverts and cinnamon underparts. As well as small insects, it feeds on nectar. We watched the first bird trap-lining in a garden in Mucugê while the other 3 photos were taken in the garden of Casa da Géleia, Lençois. There are illustrations in HBW, Volume 5, Page 542; and Sick, Plate 20. |
