The Pale-edged Flycatcher is distributed from Venezuela through Colombia, Ecuador and Peru to Bolivia. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is found in the canopy and at forest edges on the eastern slope of the Andes at between 1,100 and 2,600 metres.
