August 2004

The Olive-green Tyrannulet is mainly restricted to the Guianas although it has also been regularly seen from the INPA Tower near Manaus where these photos were taken. It is found in the canopy and borders of humid forest.

What they do show are the olive upperparts, the two yellowish wing-bars, the yellow edgings to the flight and tail feathers and the long tail.

They are usually, as in this case, found in mixed species canopy flocks.
