See the distribution map at NatureServe. It is found in the canopy and borders of forest at between 1,500 and 2,500 metres. |

The bold wing-bars vary in colour between pale and deep ochraceous depending on the sub-species. This bird from the western cordillera of Colombia is of the nominate sub-species. | ||||
