Honduras and Ecuador The Great Potoo is distributed from southern Mexico through Central America to South America mainly in the Amazon Basin and in eastern Brazil. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is found in dense lowland forest and forest edges as well as open woodland. It is active mainly at night and at dusk while roosting high in trees during the day. |
