Brazil October 2022 The Fawn-breasted Tanager is distributed in the Andes from Venezuela to northern Argentina and in south-east Brazil. See the distribution map at xeno-canto. It is found in the borders and clearings of montane forest mainly between 1,000 and 2,800 metres. |

The Andean population has a red iris while, in the south-east of Brazil, the iris is browner. It is not often found in mixed flocks and tends to be quiet. |
