The Eared Dove is distributed throughout South America. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is found in open and semi-open habitats including agricultural areas where its large numbers constitute a problem for farmers since it tends to feed on commercial seed crops such as wheat and sorghum. | |||

Upperparts are pale brown with 2 to 3 black spots on the tertials. It has 2 narrow black lines on the cheeks. Underparts are pinkish brown. | |||
