The Buff-browed Foliage-gleaner is distributed in the south-east of South America in Brazil, Uruguay and adjacent areas of Paraguay and Argentina with a disjunct population in the moist forests of the Andes from Peru to northern Argentina. See the distribution map at xeno-canto.
