Bronzy Jacamar (Galbula leucogastra)

The Bronzy Jacamar is slightly larger than the Green-tailed Jacamar (Galbula galbula) but has the same length (5 cms or 2 inches) of slender bill.

Its upperparts and breast are a beautiful bronzy metallic green and the crown is dark blue. The male in the first photo has a white throat and belly while the female in the second photo has a buff throat and belly.
