The Black-billed Mountain-Toucan is distributed in the Andes from western Venezuela through Colombia and Ecuador to the extreme north of Peru. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is found in a variety of mainly forest habitats including cloud forest mostly between 1,700 and 2,700 metres. These photos were taken at 2,100 metres.
