Australia February / April 2006 The Common Emu is distributed throughout most of mainland Australia in a wide variety of habitats including woodland, grassland and scrub though it avoids very dry areas and settlements. |

It is flightless, stands almost 2 metres tall and weighs up to 55 kilos. It feeds on seeds, fruit, grasses and insects. | ||||
