Al Ain, Abu Dhabi The Pallid Swift breeds in southern Europe, northern Africa and the Middle East and the more northerly populations migrate to south of the Sahara during the northern winter. It is normally found near the coast but forages over a wide variety of habitats including, in this case, seasonal desert ponds. |

It is a relatively large swift with a shallow fork in the tail, a brown head and body and a white throat
patch. There are some recordings on xeno-canto and additional information is available via Avibase. |
