The Citrine Wagtail breeds in an area from eastern Europe to central Siberia and south to Iran, Afghanistan and central China. It migrates during the northern winter to the Indian subcontinent and south-east Asia. It is found in wet habitats such as the marshes, lake edges and wet meadows.
