Pivot Fields, Dubai, United Arab Emirates The Citrine Wagtail breeds in an area from eastern Europe to central Siberia and south to Iran, Afghanistan and central China. It migrates during the northern winter to the Indian subcontinent and south-east Asia. It is found in wet habitats such as the marshes, lake edges and wet meadows. |

The breeding male has a bright yellow head and underparts with a black band at the back of the neck and grey
upperparts. Photos 1 and 2 here are of either a female or a non-breeding male. Photos 3 and 4 show what I think is a 1st winter bird.
