The White Witch has the largest wingspan of any moth in the world. I calculated this individual to have a wing span of 25cms (10 inches).

It is found in the tropical rain forest of Central and South America. This one flew past me on a trail through the forest and alighted on a tree trunk. It almost immediately disappeared into the background of the trunk using its superb camouflage.
