The Perinet Chameleon is distributed in the rainforest in central and southern Madagascar. See the distribution map at IUCN.

The male, seen here in photos 1 and 2, has a pale line along the side which is lacking in the female (photo 3). There are 3 sub-species one of which, Calumma gastrotaenia andringitraensis, is distinguished by its dorsal crest as seen in photos 1 and 2.
