The Grivet Monkey is distributed in Ethiopia, Sudan, South Sudan and Eritrea. See the distribution map at IUCN. It is found in savanna and open woodland and is usually close to a river.

They eat grasses, fruits, flowers, eggs and small animals. They can be a pest in agricultural areas.
