Guatemala and Honduras March 2015 The Central American Agouti is distributed from Mexico, through Central America to Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela. See the distribution map at IUCN. It is found in forest and plantations near water. |

It is medium-sized and feeds on seeds and fruits being an important seed disperser.
