Deothang, Samdrup Jongkhar, Bhutan The Yellow-vented Warbler breeds in eastern Nepal, Bhutan and north-east India with a disjunct population in Laos. Outside the breeding season some populations descend to lower elevations. |

It is found in dense evergreen forest and bamboo where it forages for insects and larvae in the low to middle
storeys. It has a bold head pattern with a blackish crown, yellow crown-stripe, long yellow supercilium and dark line through the eye. Upperparts are olive with brownish wings and a yellow wing-bar. Underparts are bright yellow on the chin and upper breast as well as the vent with elsewhere being white. There is a recording on xeno-canto and additional information is available via Avibase. |
