Bhutan

The White-tailed Nuthatch is distributed along the Himalayas and into southern China and northern Myanmar. It is found in broad-leaved and mixed forest where it feeds mainly on insects but also on nuts and seeds.

It is generally paler than the Chestnut-bellied Nuthatch S. castanea with an indistinct white cheek and no barring on the undertail coverts. The white at the base of the tail is normally difficult to see.
