The Grey-hooded Warbler is distributed from northern Pakistan through the Himalayas to south China and Myanmar. It is found in open forest where it hunts small insects and spiders.

Grey-hooded Warbler, Shemgang, Bhutan, March 2008 - click for larger image It has a grey head and mantle with a dark eye-stripe, whitish supercilium and faint crown stripe. Underparts are yellow.

It may well be better placed in the genus Phylloscopus according to recent DNA studies and other characteristics.
