Yabello, Ethiopia The White-bellied Canary is distributed in east Africa from Ethiopia to Tanzania. See the distribution map at Birdlife International. It is found in arid and semi-arid bush and woodland up to about 1,800 metres. |

As the name implies it has a white belly and vent. The male shown here has streaking on the lower flanks. The female is paler with streaking on the breast. | |||
